Waiting for luggage and a rescheduled connecting flight to Bangkok! Our flight from LAX was delayed and they didn't give us enoiugh time to make our connection to Thailand. So, here we are. Things are looking up. They say our luggage is on the new plane, and we will be boarding with it (hopefully) in about 10 minutes.
Huge airport, found good coffee and paid with our Visa. it cost $78 Hong Kong (that's about $10 US), a real deal!
It was a very long flight from LAX. About 14 hours in the air. We had a window and middle seat, and the guy on the aisle must have had a bladder as big as a pumpkin. I never saw him get up! Kim and I took two trips to the head, and stayed up about 45 minutes to an hour each time. Huge plane, a Boeing 777 wide body. Just two engines, but absolutely the biggest engines I have sever seen. Literally you could drive a school bus into them. Kim took a picture of the plane/engine, but she is not here. She is back shopping for a book. We have my Kindle, and phone. Phone is dead with no way to charge, and I am sucking my laptop battery dry charging the Kindle as I type this. So I get the Kindle, and she gets paper!
Have already met two Rotarians on the trip. One headed for the convention, and another heading to Thailand on a "mission".
Watched a couple of good movies on the flight. "The Iron Lady" starring Meryl Streep about Margaret Thatcher, and the animated movie "Tin Tin"
There's the boarding call! Gotta go! Pictures later!
That's All!

Sounds like you were able to make the best of things. :) It was fun talking to you this morning...somehow talking to you in Thailand is a trip even though really it shouldn't be much different than a Spain-Cali call. ;) Somehow more exotic, I guess.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
